Microlut is used to prevent pregnancy. This medication contains only one type of hormone, oral progestin, also known as the “mini-pill.”
Microlut prevents pregnancy through several mechanisms, including changing the consistency of cervical mucus, which reduces the ability of sperm to reach the egg, changing the lining of the uterus to make it less suitable for implantation, and disrupting mid-cycle functions, which may help prevent pregnancy.
